  1. We order diapers and formula/solid food jars and cans online and have them shipped directly to destination. That way we save lots of room and make sure everything awaits for us there!!

  2. We pack the car with great care! We keep plastic containers underneath the seats with toys, wipes and diapers so it's easy to get too!

We also only pack 1 suitcase for the adults and 1 for the kids. It helps us to decide what is really important and necessary, and elimate the extras before we leave!

  3. I pack in laundry baskets. They can sit inside each other if needed and are easy to carry and maneuver. Typically, we don't unpack into drawers, so being able to "see" the outfits/shoes/hair bows is key and they stay unwrinkled. There is no unzipping and meandering through a dark bag to see where everything is.

I always pack an extra pillow case to keep the dirty laundry that we make. (Although.....I have been known to "borrow" one from the hotel. :)

    Hope I win!

  4. This tip comes from my extremely organized and well-traveled friend, Cherry, who has two adorable girls.

She buys one of those 24-pocket over-the-door shoe organizers in clear plastic and tucks a complete outfit in each pocket (or two if needed). Once filled, she just folds the organizer in half and places it into her suitcase. At their destination, she can take the whole thing out and hang it behind a door.

This makes packing easier since you can see everything at a glance, outfits are readily accessible, and storage is compact. She showed me a picture and I was blown away at her genius!

Not only do I plan on using her packing tip for our upcoming family vacation (I have two boys), but she is also going to lend me her Sit N Stroll for my 7-month-old to use. She raves about it and recommends it to everyone. How cool would it be if I won my own Sit N Sroll using her tip!

  5. We pack whole toddler/baby outfits in gallon size ziplock bags - down to undies and socks. It's not really packing light, but it's packing easy! That way each day all you have to do is pull out a bag and get them dressed (and the leftover bags are great for hauling home wet or soiled items)!
